Realistic grain
Modern textured laminates have moved on a long way from the flat photo-print finishes of the 2000s. The grain is embossed into the surface, so it has tactile depth as well as the visual print. Most people can't tell ours from veneered timber at arm's length.
Door styles
Wood-grain finishes only work on flat slab doors — the laminate can't be CNC-routed for panel detail without exposing the MDF core. For a shaker look in wood, choose a plain warm-tone laminate that reads as 'painted timber' instead.
Frequently asked questions
- Is oak veneer also an option?
- Yes, on request. Real veneer is more expensive and slightly less hard-wearing than laminate, but you get the natural variation that printed grain can't match.
