About this style

Shaker doors in the configurator are any panel count above one — two, three or four recessed panels CNC-routed into a single 25mm MR-MDF blank. Taller doors normally go three or four panels to keep the proportions balanced; shorter doors look best in two.

Because the panel detail is moulded into the face of the door, the doors stay slim, slam quietly on Blum concealed soft-close hinges, and read as full-height joinery rather than a stack of cabinets. Available in our full Plain colour palette — sage, off-white, soft greys, deep navy and inky black.

Best for

  • Victorian and Edwardian period bedrooms with picture rails and skirting
  • Alcove runs flanking a chimney breast
  • Clients who want a timeless wardrobe that won't date in five years

Things to consider

  • Panelled doors are Plain colours only — wood grain and texture decors aren't available with panel detail
  • Brass knobs are unlacquered; expect a soft patina over 12–18 months
  • Three or four panels suit doors over 2.2m tall; under that, choose two

Pairs well with

Oak engineered flooring, soft wool rugs, brass picture lights and Crittall-style internal doors. Configure with full-hang bays flanking shelves-and-drawers in the centre.
