What we build differently
Hanging rails go on adjustable brackets so they can be lowered for a four-year-old reaching their own clothes, then raised as the child grows. Drawers are deep — toys early on, jumpers and jeans later. Doors are slab or simple shaker in plain pale finishes that don't date.
- Adjustable hanging rails (lower for small children)
- Deep drawers for toys and folded clothes
- Soft-close hinges and drawer runners — no pinched fingers
- Anti-tip carcass fixing to the wall
Safe and quiet
Every door and drawer has soft-close hardware so they can't slam on small fingers. Carcasses are screwed back to the wall studs to prevent tipping, and we recess door pulls or use push-to-open so there's nothing to catch clothing on.
Frequently asked questions
- Are the materials child-safe?
- We use moisture-resistant MDF and low-VOC laminates throughout — the same materials used in commercial nursery fit-outs.
