We have built fitted wardrobes for clients across West London for years, and every street in Richmond comes with its own quirks — chimney breasts in awkward spots, alcoves of different depths either side of the same fireplace, picture rails to scribe under, and skirting profiles to match. The work below is the kind of joinery we do here every week.
Richmond homes — what we typically work with
Richmond covers everything from Georgian houses around Richmond Green to large Edwardian villas in Richmond Hill and Kew Gardens. Clients here expect joinery to match the standard of the property.
Wardrobe styles popular in Richmond
Laminate-finished Shaker, fumed-oak veneers and bronze-framed mirror sliders all feature. Lutron-compatible internal lighting is increasingly standard on premium jobs.
We manufacture every carcass, door and drawer ourselves in our London workshop, so any colour, profile or internal layout you have in mind can be priced and built without sub-contracting. Hinges, runners and handles are specified individually per job — soft-close Blum runners are standard, and we will spec heavier-duty hardware where the door size demands it.
How we work in Richmond
- Home survey (£150, deducted from your order). Our surveyor visits, measures every wall, checks floor and ceiling tolerances, and brings sample doors and material swatches so you can see the finish in your own light.
- Design and fixed quote. You receive scaled drawings (plan and elevation), an internal layout, and a fixed price. We iterate on the design until you sign it off.
- Workshop build. Once you approve, manufacture takes around three weeks. You can track the order through the customer portal.
- Install. Most Richmond wardrobes are fitted in one to three days by our employed fitters — no sub-contractors, no third-party trades on site.
Recent Richmond install
A Richmond Hill villa received a full-wall laminate wardrobe scheme with concealed wall-washer lighting and leather-lined top drawers — finished in a warm off-white.
Access, parking and logistics in TW9 & TW10
We are familiar with the access constraints across West London — controlled parking zones, narrow staircases in period conversions, lift sizes in mansion blocks. Our surveyor will confirm access during the survey visit and we adjust carcass dimensions and component delivery accordingly. If a parking dispensation is required for the install day we will let you know in good time so you can arrange it with your local authority.
